Sorry ladies, I don’t care how you cut it, slice it, or serve it, coffee and salad is NOT a meal. No exceptions, no excuses. Eat a cheeseburger.

Sorry ladies, I don’t care how you cut it, slice it, or serve it, coffee and salad is NOT a meal. No exceptions, no excuses. Eat a cheeseburger.
To even consider coffee and salad as a meal is insane. Women should copy men sometimes–we love, I love, cheesburgers! Cheesburger and salad, with coffee sounds okay though.
i started thinking about this one…is a sandwich and coffee a meal. I mean if all I eat for the day is coffee and salad then ok, point taken, but what if I have that for lunch, thats not that big a deal. So elaborate on this one.
Salads can be pretty tastey and filling, but I would feel dirty buying a salad from a fast food resturant with all that tastey beef available.
I must say, I don’t really think coffee and salad are a good combination.
if i feel like having a salad with coffee, who are you to tell me that it isn’t a meal? i like eating salad with coffee and i even consider that a FULL MEAL. stop eating so much faty.
Might depend on the salad. Every so often you find one that’s more calories than a Burger. A Steak and sourcream tostada packed with Black Beans for instance.
But Iceberg lettuce with celery and carrot shavings… not so much. Not a meal.
Wow…I think that ‘mindyourownbusiness’ is missing the whole point of this site.
And when will people start to get the point of these posts in general?
People seem to have trouble not taking things so damn literally. Yes, sweeties, coffee and salad is fine; nobody has a vendetta against the two things being eaten together. The problem lies with ANY scant foods (not just coffee and salad) comprising entire meals all the time. If you’re in a hurry or are just hungry for something light or small, go ahead and have a friggin’ (insert food here); just don’t limit yourself to ONLY THAT if you really want something more!!!
Some people get it, but other people…I’m just not sure.
I agree hope
It can be a meal, so long as you’re eating it because you woke up and thought “Hot damn it’s a good day for salad!” not “I really ought to have a salad…”
Mind you I’m a salad fascist and would argue that unless it comes with lots of delicious things like sundried tomatos and olives and avocado and nuts and hopefully some really good crusty bread it isn’t really a salad, just a lettuce depression in a bowl.
I completely agree with Hope and Gracie. :]
