Unless you have been hiding under a rock you have no doubt seen everyone and their momma in a pair of skinny jeans. And although it usually takes me awhile, I finally succumbed to this contagious trend. Of course as I began to embrace the skinny jean look so did people and their crazy comments about me wearing them.
It was over a year ago when I bought my first pair from Target. I remember getting home and asking a friend what she thought of them (first mistake). She proceeded to motion that they made my thighs look “big” and told me, “Maybe you should just wear dresses”! I couldn’t believe what I had heard. Just wear dresses?! The words would linger in my ear for months on end as I realized how crazy that statement was. So I’m not allowed to wear skinny jeans because I have hips? I thought that was the whole point! It wasn’t long before I started hearing more crazy comments like these… here’s an example of some:
“Skinny jeans only look good when you don’t have any curves”
“Finally, someone skinny enough to be wearing skinny jeans”
“Skinny jeans make you look fatter if you have hips”
“They’re called ’skinny’ for a reason”
I’m sure you have heard some form of these comments, and I’m here to tell you that they are just a bunch of stupid lies! Sorry that I don’t have better words to articulate this thought, but there are so many lies that women hear on a daily basis I feel it’s just necessary to call it what it is. The problem with these pervasive lies is that women are readily willing to gobble it up as though they were facts from a math textbook. The equation skinny = better, however tempted we are to take it as pure fact, simply is not fact at all. So next time you hear some crazy comment about how you shouldn’t be wearing those or how they make you look bigger I dare you to do what I did… go out and buy another pair with some snazzy heels to match just so everyone can see that you mean business and that your skinny jeans are here to stay!

agreed! just because some women are thick doesn’t mean they shouldn’t look 100% killa stylish. As long as the jeans fit you they will be great. I personally like to see the shape of women’s legs as in they have shape not just bone but muscle too.
okay i’m 14 i’m 150 pounds 5 ‘7′
i’m into the punk darker look
its a requirement to wear skinny jeans
okay i have some
they look great… (:
people tell me i look like a potato with skinny legs
i don’t let it bring me down.
seriously like a shirt dress with skinny jeans would be cool.
i like skinny jeans on chubby and or fat people it looks great on your curves and it actually does make a person look skinner.
and if it comes in your size and you like it wear it.
they make it in your size for a reason.
and the term “skinny” is meant to be tight jeans.
im 13, 150 pounds and i like skinny jeans but cant find any to fit me because i am short i was wondering if u could tell me a couple of places that i may be able to find them at school starts soon and i would love to wear them, please get back to me at conswayla28@aim.com
I admit, I’m one of the people who thinks that skinny jeans look good on nobody–Twiggy included. But I absolutely agree that if you want to wear them, then do it–and f*&% anyone who doesn’t like it!
I really like curvy girls in skinny jeans
everyone and their mother are saying those things about being too fat for them, and no, they are not ideal for hiding your curves, but i still really like them! I think of them more along the lines as leggings, as they are so closely cut. I don’t get it, but I am too much of a chicken to wear any because I know what people say about them. :/
I think people should wear whatever clothes they feel comfortable in. Showing curves is a good thing in my book, we shouldn’t have to wear tents just because we’ve got curves!
The only jeans on girls thing I protest against is that many girls force themselves into jeans that are at least two sizes too small. Wearing trousers that are too small is agonizing and only leads to bad tummy aches.
I am actually too fat for skinny jeans: they don’t make them in my size. I don’t think they exist above a size 26/whatever they sell at Torrid, so I’m SOL. I have wanted a pair forever, though.
I’m at a size that skinny jeans are hard to find. They are either too tight or so loose that they don’t have the clingy look that skinny jeans should have. I wear between a 2 and 4 so I’m not fat. It’s just that I can’t find skinny jeans that fit me right. Maybe I just like my jeans loose fitting. It could be that I don’t want to think myself skinny enough to have to buy a size1/2 to get the clingy fit.
I don’t have hips. I have a belly. My stomach sticks out and I hate having a muffin top so I wear my jeans not too tight. To get the clingy look that skinny jeans should have, I would need to have a muffin top and I’m already self-conscious about my belly although my bf tells me it’s cute all the time.
When I tried them on, I didn’t like how skinny they made me look outside the muffin top issue. I have muscular legs and I didn’t like that these jeans made me look like I had skinny legs.
I wouldn’t mind trying a pair, but it is horrendously difficult to find jeans that work with my body style– I almost have to start getting them at more expensive places (which I can’t afford), because otherwise they’re made weirdly for me. Most of the time because of how my rear is I have a huge waistband gap at the small of my back, and if I try to wear a belt the belt just ends up twisting in the band to where it’s against my skin and not the waistband– very uncomfortable! *sigh* So I envy those of you who can find jeans more easily.
And wear whatever the hell you want– especially with a pair of kickin’ heels. One of my private goals is to get some stylish jeans with some bright scarlet heels…
(And I agree with others– sometimes the problem with jeans is that people simply won’t admit if they’re a larger size than they want to be, and thus they get jeans that are too small. That produce that muffintop effect, which I find rather wince-worthy, whether they’re a size 6 or 16.)
Try A.N.A. brand jeans. I’ll admit that I have thighs, hips, and a booty. But their jeans usually fit me pretty nicely.
Newsflash: Whatever piece of clothing you have on, someone out in the cold, cold world will tell you that you shouldn’t be wearing it…particularly if you happen to be fat.
It’s my personal philosophy that we should all bring two sets of eyes with us into the changing room. We need the kindly critical gaze that tells us when something just plain isn’t cutting it visually on some level (wrong color, that print is wearing you rather than the other way around, the fit is off) and we need to bring in the eyes of the kid that has all kinds of dreams and isn’t afraid to try something that others might ridicule.
I have skinny things and floaty things and long things and short things and bright things and dark things in my wardrobe. While I generally have a pretty decent handle on what is in fashion at the moment, I don’t necessarily follow fashion when I get dressed in the morning. I choose what I like, adapt when a trend is ’so very all but’ for me, and ignore the ones I flat out dislike.
If you like skinny jeans, can find them in your size, and feel good in them, then dammit, you should wear the skinny jeans.
I am a firm believer in the saying “Fashion HAS NO rules.” Skinny jeans are misnamed, I think. They’re not just for skinny women, they’re meant for anybody who wants to wear them. But they ARE meant to be tight.
I personally love the look – but, like Lillian up there, I can’t find a pair that fit me properly. I’m much bigger than she is, but the problem is that my body is oddly shaped (at least compared to the designer’s ideas of what my body must be at this size). I have a pair, but they just look like straight leg jeans on me instead of skinny jeans.
And it’s not just because I’m fat (for the record, I’m a UK 18/US 14 [according to the Evans size chart, that is]). People of all sizes – from 0 to 30 and beyond – are many different shapes. But designers are taught to believe that a size 0 body is shaped like this, and a 2 is shaped like this, etc. The sad fact is, most people would have to have their clothes custom-made to get something that fits properly every single time. And most of us don’t have the financial resources to do that.
As for the muffin top issue… I am SO SICK of hearing people moan about muffin tops. If someone is purposely squeezing themselves into clothes that are too small just to fit some ridiculous idea that they have to be smaller than they are, that’s one thing. But some people’s fat stores are different than others. Myself, for example: I actually have a lot of empty skin on my torso. A combination of gaining a lot of weight during pregnancy and weight loss means that I have all this skin with nothing to fill it. And when I buy jeans that don’t give me a muffin top… they actually fall off. I have to wear a belt to keep them up, and then I end up with a muffin top ANYWAY. Knowing that for myself has led me to look at other women in a different light. There are many reasons why someone might have a muffin top, and wearing pants that are too small is only one of them (and the most obvious – if it fits everywhere else, then obviously it’s the right size).
But yeah. The term skinny jeans doesn’t mean that the person wearing them has to BE skinny. If that was the case, the whole damned fashion would go away. There wouldn’t be enough demand to keep the manufacturers in business.
I don’t think they look good on anyone, fat, thin, or otherwise. The straight-leg, balanced look is so much more flattering on women — and besides, I’m not shelling out money that celebrates “skinny” ANYTHING.
I think skinny jeans were created by designers who are entirely clueless about women and their bodies. In my opinion, they’re made to only look good on pre-pubescent girls and models with 17% body fat. That said, I heartily agree with Twistie that we should be able to look at fashion for ourselves both critically (this particular garment or style isn’t good on me), and whimsically (I love it and I don’t care what anyone thinks).
I personally really dislike the way that all women’s clothing has become skin tight and all men’s clothing super loose. I’m old enough (30-ish) to remember when jeans and tops were more-or-less alike for men and women, and didn’t emphasize gender differences or sexualize women in the way that tight, lowrise, and lowcut clothing today does. Also, the tightness of women’s clothing doesn’t just emphasize that we are supposed to be objects for male visual pleasure, but also contrains women to force themselves within a very, very narrow range of weight fluxuation — or purchase new clothing.
Skinny jeans just aren’t for me.
I’ve tried on several pairs and they look okay, but I have really wide shoulders and I need something on the bottom to balance me out as I have 0 hips on top of that.
I tried on some this morning at Target though.
I, myself am waaaaaaaaayyyyy too fat for skinny jeans, imho, but I freaking wear them, anyway.
And guess what?
The Menz, they love it..AND they’re cute!
And when I buy jeans that don’t give me a muffin top… they actually fall off. I have to wear a belt to keep them up, and then I end up with a muffin top ANYWAY.
Ugh, yes, same problem here. It’s either the pants just fall off or a belt is pressing into my belly … not comfortable at all … and if I miraculously manage to find jeans that go up far enough to avoid this issue, the size that fits on the top is way too large for my legs.
They make skinny jeans above a size 26 – check out onestopplus.com(I think I’ve seen them there, and at bcoutlet.com, up to a size 42W). I needed a 28W in skinny jeans and got a pair at BCO that were not only the perfect fit, but actually long enough for my legs and high waist.
Ugh, yes, the bad fitting jeans! I, too, have that problem with the waistband; jeans that fit me nicely on the legs are to tight at the tummy to the point of discomfort, but at the same time might have anything up to 2 inches of spare material at the arse region. My main problem is I have a long torso and stumpy little leggies, which means that most jeans have the waist WAYYYYYY too low. Even supposedly high-waisted ones.
I used to love jeans pre-puberty, but I just can’t find a pair that I can fit comfortably any more. But I do definitely agree that people should wear whatever they want regardless of the opinions of others. Do you like it? Is it comfortable, or acceptably uncomfortable? Great!
I’m too short for skinny jeans. Whenever I try them on they make me look even shorter and conical. When I pair them with the floaty tops that come to mid-hip I look like a pregnant icecream cone that happens to be a double amputee. It’s actually funny… so the skinniest jeans I wear are straight leg.
I like my skinny jeans. I usually wear them as tights because they come down way too low (the waist is too big if I get them big enough to go up my thighs), but I don’t think anyone really looks “bad” in them, or that people can be too fat for them. If you like them, and they’re comfy, and you can rock them, go for it. Why the hell not?
I agree with PurpleGirl and some others – I don’t think skinny jeans look good on anybody. I think they make you look like Mick Jagger or Steven Tyler – “cocaine legs”. I haven’t even tried on a pair when they came into fashion this time because I like the way bootlegs look on me and that’s that.
I also thought what vidya said was interesting. I’m not old enough to remember that time, but looking back at movies & TV of earlier eras, she’s totally right. How awful.
“Skinny” jeans is just the 21st-century’s descriptive term for them…they are also called ’stovepipe’ or ‘cigarette’ jeans. Obvs nobody wanted the cigarette reference nowadays *haha!*
Anyway.
Yeah.
I don’t feel I can wear that style in denim, as my body-shape/type/whatev. isn’t ideal for them….I have the infamous junk-in-trunk, bubble-butt, JLo, Kardashian, badunkadunk @ss and ’skinny’ jeans look best with less in BACK, imho.
Fashion is funny….the “industry” will say ‘wear this’ or ‘wear that’ because it’s IN or it’s NOW…but those items of clothing are not always designed with a variety of body shapes in mind.
But my belief is that all fashion should be as available as possible to all body types, because, who knows, some chick out there might be dying to wear ’skinny jeans’ and she should have a pair, no matter what size! *haha!*
Now….palazzo pants….those are for me!
I also like flare-leg jeans a lot, for jeans…they flatter the curves and have a funky, versatile look. I also like what they’re calling the ‘boyfriend’ cut (basically: straight legs) for jeans.
Finally FYI…ALLOY is a catalog for teenagers but they have a wider selection of sizes in fashionable jeans than I’ve found anywhere else…check out their website if you’re looking for trendy jeans in larger or half-sizes!
<3
ahhh, this has made me feel so much better, i’m wearing mine tomorrow!
I’m a size 10 and I recently bought my first pair of skinny jeans. I’d heard ad nauseum that they only look good on skinny people and honestly would not have considered them were it not for an adorable salesman who talked me into trying them. They’re pretty flattering, and I could kick myself for being afraid for so long to even try them on. These are great pants and I think it’s sick how others have brainwashed people my size and larger into believing that we shouldn’t dare wear such pants.
If the skinny jean looks good and makes you feel good, fine. I have no interest in wearing skinny jeans. They give me flashbacks to highschool in the early ’90’s . . . but whatever floats thy boat, do it. Its just a trend.
I have seen some pretty unflattering jeans on people . . . I think its not body type or what kind of jeans . . . but the size of the jeans . . . make sure they fit right.
I had the same experience yesterday; I’ve been seeing all these tiny girls wear these tiny jeans, but then I’m shopping and see them in my size so I say, Why not. I try a pair on and I love them! I have yet to wear them, but I definitely will. I am a size 12 and I have to say, that if I can wear them, the shy non-outgoing person I am, then Everyone can wear them.
Enjoy ladies!
I’m an apple shaped woman (fat gathers on belly, skinny legs) and my friends say I look good in skinny jeans. I, on the other hand, think skinny jeans look best on curvy women. SO WHAT if you don’t have stick legs and the jeans end up looking curvy instead of stick-like — I actually think that women look better with hips and a butt anyway.
That’s part of my body acceptance issue: I wish I had womanly hips instead of boyish hips, lol. But I’m on this site to try to love myself for who I am.
This blog you wrote made me feel better. I’m kinda big (borderline size 14-16), and I just bought my first pair of skinny jeans from American Eagle yesterday at the mall. I am loving them! I don’t care what anybody else has to say – I mean, they’re just so comfy. Almost like leggings…but not.
And though, yes they are snug, my pants fit alright. I’m working out and dieting right now; used to be at a 18-20 size D: not anymore…
Anyways, gracias. If they sell skinny jeans at Target, that sounds like a bargain I’ll have to check out!
X Sasha
I just bought my first pair of skinny jeans tonight and I love them! I’m a size 10-12 and i think they look fantastic!
That’s so funny! I’ve actually posted about this twice in recent memory, haha. I got really annoyed because I was reading a blog and the author said something about not wanting to see big girls (defined as: *a size SIX or over!!*) in skinny jeans unless they were wearing long flowy tops. Um. Eff that noise. I will wear my skinny jeans with whatever the hell I please, and the fashion police can shove it. I personally think they look good on skinny girls and curvy girls alike!
Making skinny’s rock is all about the top you wear with it. I myself am a curvy girl with hips and thighs and I just make sure I’m wearing them with a longer style cardigan (one that covers the bum or a tunic style top. Baby doll style tops help to. Also, I’m worn them with shoulder enhancing tops- like with a puffy sleeve to draw your eye up.
Besides, some tops you just NEED skinny jeans- and if you’re wearing leggings you can wear skinny’s- especially with boots!
i like skinny jeans and i wear them but the whole time im confident yet worried.
I love the skinny jeans trend. I am a mega apple (six 16 belly, size 10 legs) so skinny jeans fit me like normal pants should, while pants that have any flair at the bottom look ridiculous because they’re just too baggy on the legs if they’re comfortable around the waist.
Im a size 16 belly and size 10 legs too.. it sucks cause i really like skinny jeans, but i cant find any that fit me. and i will not wear jeans that are too tight around my stomach. its such a pain. i usually just wear hard tail yoga pants. they are comfortable and i get a medium or large. glad to see there is someone out there with my body type.
For the people that are worried about ‘muffin tops’ but still want skinny jeans go out and buy a pair of whatever jeans you like and fit into comfortably around the waist and tummy and then cut the ankle/knee parts, tighten them and then sew them back up. it sounds hard but its not. you can even google ‘how to make skinny jeans’ for more detailed help. my sister and i made her a pair. she has great legs but also has a tummy so this idea was perfect for her. be creative – just because everyone is wearing them doesnt mean yours have to look the exact same.
I am 180 lbs. and I’m only 5′ 5” (everyone who I’ve told says I don’t look that much, they say I look about 150-160), but I wear skinny jeans. Most of my friends say they look great on me. I am EXTREMELY curvy. I don’t get why people have to be so rude. And skinny jeans aren’t called skinny because you have to be skinny to wear them!!!
I know I’m late on this post, but I am beginning to like skinny jeans. Wasn’t a fan in the beginning but they are definitely growing on me. I have a body that isn’t really good for skinny jeans. I’m 5′9″ with thighs. So regular jeans are hard enough before they start making them tighter! I haven’t found any but I think if I can find some that work they’ll look okay.
I think every style isn’t made for everyone, but if you want to wear them, do it! As long as you feel good about what you’re wearing, that’s half the battle.
If you like skinny jeans and can find them in your size, then goddammit wear skinny jeans! Who cares if your fat?! Fuck anyone who thinks you shouldn’t wear something you want to just cos it’s ‘against fashion rules’ or whatever crap stupid fashionistas come up with these days.
I agree with you! And I’m also sick of that garbage where folks say that skinny jeans are made for skinny people, tall people, no hips, etc… Apparently the opinions are so contradictory that it’s ridiculous! Seriously, there’s way too much of a stigma attached to these great pants.
Anyway, I happen to be a top heavy shorty (5′3″, 150 lbs, large framed, 14 top, 10 bottom) who was skeptical of them at first (I’ve chunkier, muscular legs), but after trying a couple in Asia, I was surprised at how well they fit! I even found that the boot cut and wide leg jeans are either too baggy or made me look bigger! (Really, so much for the whole boot cut and wide leg trend!)
In the end, it’s all about finding the right brands and the right fit for your body. Just measure yourself, check the manufacturer’s sizing, and try them on! And of course, if you like them, wear them! After all, it’s your money and your life!
This thread RULES. I was searching for “size 16 skinny jeans” and landed here, and I’m so glad to see everyone being positive. I’m so sick of “what not to wear” attitudes!
I thought it was funny that someone said “cocaine legs” as hilariously that’s kind of the effect I would love to get.
I am also going to start using the phrase “mega apple” to refer to myself from here on out. Sweet!!
I know so many curvy girls are lusting after the skinny jean style since it’s the big trend right now. I personally have no problem with what anyone wears. If you love then rock it. However, you should remember the skinny jeans look was created to give girls without curves the appearance of having them. Curvy girls already have amazing hips so they don’t need to create the appearance of having hips, like boyish figured girls do. The best part about fashion is, unless you’re a model, you don’t need to follow trends religiously, you can pick and choose which ones accentuate the positive. Remember, every fashion trend has 2 purposes in its structure, minimizing “flaws,” such as a boyish figure’s lack of curves, and accentuating assets, such as creating an appearance of curves.
where can i buy them i’m a 12.
To all the curvy girls i want to say ’show off those figures!’ You can get the jeans in size 12 – 16 on ebay or maybe have them made – no more expensive i don’t think.
My husband goes crazy for girls at least size 14 and recently brought home an article from work showing me that a bit of cellulite is perfectly natural. Basically, he just loves women, the real type. The weird thing is, i just lost 25kg (81kg to 56) at 5.5 high – i am now size 8-10 and i am finding i am eyeing up big bottoms and thinking ’sh*t, she really doesn’t look bad.’ I walked behind a woman the other day who had a fairly slim waste which flared out to a large rounded bottom. It demanded attention, positive i thought.
i am not so sure i will stick with the twiggy thing and feel like a bit of a fashion victim
I find it weird that most on here are not mentioning wear they actually bought the jeans. What’s the point if you don’t post wear to buy them. I too am a 10-12 and was browsing the internet for skinny jeans, however, it was a total waste of my time to read comments when no one is mentioning WHERE TO BUY THEM…….I DONT GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’M MORE FRUSTRATED THAN BEFORE
gap, delias, wetseal/contempo. also if u look online forever 21 has a plus size line faith 21.
I will say that I just bought four pairs of skinny jeans from Torrid/Torrid online/eBay (still one of the Torrid brands) and LOVE them. So there I am telling you where I get mine.
I for one think that most people, no matter male or female can look good in skinny jeans. However, i think there are limits…some people cannot pull them off as well as others.
But then again, i prefer, due to stature a more ‘baggy’ pair. More freedom in the crotchal areas……..
anyways…not sure how i found this page but i did…
adios peoples.
dig
I agree, I am bigger sized and some people say that I shouldn’t wear them. I have to wear a size 16 and I usually find it hard to get a size 16 as there are usually only size 10 and 12 left. I am definitely going to keep wearing them though!
I agree wholeheartedly with you all.
Seriously, all models/fashionistas are are anorexic coathangers.
Wear what you want, and if someone doesn’t like your style, tell them where they can shove it.
Girls of all sizes are beautiful.
I love you all for just letting your opinion be heard!!
ughh im so mad…clothes are so hard for me to find..like when i find a size that fits me in the thighs and butt then its to tite around my waiste and rly uncomfortable but then i get the next size and its like saggy on my butt
i love the look of skinny jeans but wish that there were some that fit me rite.
Its almost like you can never please people. I wore skinny jeans when i was a size 21 and people told me i shouldnt wear them. And then i wore skinny jeans when i was a size 0 and people told me i was too skinny, and skinny jeans looked stupid on me.. And NOW im wearing a size five skinny jean, and people are telling me im too curvy. Im 5′1. WTF?!
I just bought myself some today. First pair I’ve ever gotten… and I LOVE EM! I’m only 5′2/5′3 so my legs aren’t really long so I have to roll them up at the bottom. Personally, I perfer dark ones (like mine.) The ones I have look less emo and more… preppy-chic. I’m not sure if I’ll buy more. I was really happy though, they’re 27/30 and I keep having to pull them up cause they fall down.
D
I Love My Curves, and I’m not gonna change for anyone~! <3
I really like them and i wear them although i’m not too tall and skinny, anyway, i think it looks good in everyone, it doesn’t matter the body, becouse if we would have all the same body, it would be soooo boring, we would be all skinny robots.
I’m 100% agree with you girls, so curves rules girls!
We don’t have to be skinny to be pretty…and I’m telling you this becouse I’ve been making diet all my life and now I have 5kg more than what I should have, and I’m not worried about it, I’m happy anyway with me and if the others don’t like it, I’m sorry for them.
If someone really loves you is becouse what you are from inside, taht’s all that matters, bescouse you can be skinny and unpleasant
the best place ive found so far for my body type(curvy) my waist to hip ratio is a big difference 35 waist and 48 hip(size 10-12 at pzi) is pzijeans.com… the jeans run 69-79 a pair but NO gap whatsoever and they look amazing on curvy figures they go up to i think a size 18 but they run big I think… Def. worth the money…. Love love love them and will never buy anything else…. Skinny jeans can look great on (almost) anyone provided they wear the right size…. the only thing you need to pull them off is confidence not a size 2 body!!!
I’m six foot one and a six twenty in jeans. I buy my jeans at torrid and even though im not skinny, I get complimented on them all the time. It’s the same thing with people and mini skirts. They see them as being for skinny girls when in reality, most american girls are a size f*$@in one. I think people should get over it. It’s a trend, like overralls were. Overralls are totally dorky, but I admit wearing them!!
My article about skinny jeans shouldn’t be quoted unless you have read it. In the article I talk about the best skinny jeans for people with more curves.
In my school almost every girl is super super skinny and i’m not. i’m not that big, i’m 5″8/9 and i’m a size 12/14 (uk sizes) and i’ve always felt way to self consious to wear skinny jeans or anything like that around them but frankly, i’m done caring what they think, i’m alot happier with my body than i ever have been before, i train 5 days a week (i’m a rower) nd i’m probably a hell of a lot fitter and stronger than most of them. And you know what they say, fat people are more jolly
almost everyone in my school wears it its cool even i wear them they are in fashion and if anyone sees them in them and stare at them and ask them where they got them and everyone really likes them
youre not fat nobodys fat
i love skinny jeans, and i thought they actually showeddd the curves 0.o
!!
even some boys look great in them. i’m 13, just about 5ft 1 and around 100lbs, and im size 6 in jeans, though my legs are like longerr, the jeans still banage to be abit baggy on the bottom bit only ><
i heard they compactt your legs, so they make them look skinnier, aswell as showw the curves. and i've got hips, i love wearing them, got quite a few pairs myself ;D
they look better then bootcut or boyfriend baggy ass ones which you can trip on anyday :L
so no matter what size you are, just wear what you love and be confident wearing it
Somepeople are just ridiculous, curvy people don’t go round saying to all the skinny people that they can’t wear pencil skirts, cause they’ve got no curves to wear them with. So why do they skinny people feel they have to comment on us curvy people :/ it’s messed up!
I’m a size 12/14, and I have 1 pair of skinny jeans, cause it’s dificult to find any pair that fit right in every place, all the ones I find fit me in the leg, are too baggy round the stomach. I’ve compleatly given up on skinny jeans…
If you can’t find any skinny jeans that fit you, buy Jeggings.
They’re soo much more comfortable, you can actually move in them without walking like a penguin, and they look exactly like jeans only they’re actually leggings, so they fit perfectly.
Okay, so i’ve been reading some comments, and i just have some say. Why do people actually care what other people think of them? God made eveyone different, so that we could express ourselves in our OWN way. Fat, skinny, tall, or short, we all have our ways of showing our personality. Some of us through words, but most through clothing. Everyday when i go to school, i see girls wearing very low cut shirts and short skirts. What do you think when you see that? ‘Oh, that girl’s a skank’. But why do the people of our generation judge people just by what they look like? What does it matter? I’m 14, 5′1/2” and around 100 pounds.
I wear skinny jeans and people actually tell me i’m ‘to skinny’ for skinny jeans. I mean some people can’t help that they’re tiny. Just like some people can’t help their ‘bigger’.
Every day on the TV, young girls see that ‘in order to be pretty, you have to be stick thin, like Paris Hilton and other starletts’. And it’s bull crap because every single person out there should be proud of their bodies.
Thats just my opinion.
Jeans are the worst things in the world to shop for. No matter what style they’re in its so hard to find ones that fit nicely. I dont think it matters wether you’re skinny or not jeans are impossible!
