The infamous and coveted sizes 00-4. Oh how those numbers (btw, 0 is NOT a number) have taken on way more meaning than they ever should have. Not only does this model look malnourished (as seen by her bending thighs) but she looks down right miserable. What are you striving for? How far will you go? All roads on the “thinner is better” track lead to a life of restriction, guilt and unhappiness. Why are you willing to feel those things? What or who is it for? And why do so many of us determine our self-worth and beauty by a number? Yes, I know this is easier said than done, especially when all the magazine covers plaster it all over when celebrities get down to these ultra slim sizes. The perfect size is the size where you are healthy, happy and loving life!
Cheeseburger Rule #7: Size Ain’t Nothing But a Number.
April 16, 2008 by tiffabee
Damn, that’s insane! Her arms don’t even look 3 dimensional!
Wow, too bad she’s wearing a kite… one light breeze and woosh, she’s outta there.
Did you guys hear about this? France plans to fine the promotion of ‘extreme thinness’: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7349607.stm
Yeah girl, we sure did. Here’s the post:
Victory is Near.
wow i’m concerned for her. And there are probably people telling her that this is good. Where are all her loyal friends. wait don’t tell me their 00 too! 😦
remember in the movie ‘the devil wears prada’ when andy and nigel celebrate her going from a size 6 to a size 4. yeah, thats all i have to say about that. hahaha… its true, size aint nothin but a number!
That’s insane. Her thighs, calves and feet are all about the same width. There’s no way that should be a definition of beauty.
I think I could probably thumb-wrestle her entire body and win.
I’ve seen obsession with looks & weight make many people miserable. I’m glad that God looks at the heart!!! I actually ate a burger yesterday. Tonight was Burrito night.
[…] day has inspired a new Cheeseburger Rule which I know is similar to Rule #7 but non-the-less we need the reminder. Stop letting your Jean Size Define You! You are worth so […]
I just came upon your blog today – I wanted to say – THANK YOU. You are a surprise and an inspiration, I’m recovering from a lifetime of eating disorders and just learning how to live with myself at a size 12+. I wanted to let you know you have a new loyal reader and introduce myself 🙂 Thank you for your posts!
Peace – and remember: 0’s not a size, it’s a warning sign.
